Stéphanie Müther

About

Stéphanie Müther is a dramatic soprano whose core repertoire centres on Wagner's heaviest roles - Brünnhilde, Isolde and Turandot. She began as a mezzo-soprano before transitioning to dramatic soprano in 2016 with her Lady Macbeth debut at Theater Erfurt. She has sung the complete Ring cycle as Brünnhilde at Theater Chemnitz and at the Biwako Hall in Kyoto, and made her debut as Isolde at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in January 2025 under Sir Donald Runnicles. She holds the Bayreuth Scholarship (2013) and made her Bayreuth Festival debut in 2022.
