The Dublin Legends
Irish folk band The Dublin Legends performs at Silkeborg Viseverseklub with traditional Irish music and storytelling.
The Dublin Legends are an Irish folk band formed in 2012 by former members of The Dubliners, after that group retired its name following the death of founding member Barney McKenna. Fronted by Seán Cannon, who sang with The Dubliners for over three decades, the band keeps the classic Irish folk repertoire alive with songs such as "Whiskey in the Jar" and "The Wild Rover". Known for their lively, close-harmony performances, they have toured widely across Europe for more than ten years.
In 2026, The Dublin Legends begin the first part of their farewell tour, called "One Last Time".
Seán Cannon's son, James, became part of the band's stage lineup in 2025.
The band played its traditional Christmas concert at Vicar Street in Dublin on 28 December 2025.
The tour passes through Denmark in October 2026 with concerts in, among others, Skive, Silkeborg, Knebel and Nakskov.
The current lineup consists of Seán Cannon, Gerry O'Connor, Paul Watchorn and Shay Kavanagh.
