The Harlem Spirit of Gospel, an eight-member choir from New York, brings Christmas music and gospel to Ribe Domkirke.
The Harlem Spirit of Gospel is the international touring name of Anthony Morgan's Inspirational Choir of Harlem (AMICOH), founded by Anthony Morgan in New York. The eight hand-picked singers - all Grammy-nominated - perform under the spiritual guidance of Pastor Renee F. Washington Gardner of Memorial Baptist Church in Harlem. Members have recorded and toured with artists including Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Diana Ross and Sting, and the choir was the first ever to perform at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards. In Europe, the group has completed more than 11 years of sold-out tours across Denmark, Italy, Germany and Ireland, among other countries.
The Harlem Spirit of Gospel returns to Cosmopolite in Oslo on December 7, 2025 for the fourth year in a row.
The choir performed in December 2024 in Copenhagen at Skt. Johannes Kirke on Nørrebro.
The choir performed in December 2024 at Ibsenhuset in Norway as part of its European Christmas concert tour.
Anthony Morgan founded the choir in 2006 under the official name Anthony Morgan's Inspirational Choir of Harlem (AMICOH).
