About

The Last Waltz is originally the title of Martin Scorsese's 1978 concert film documenting The Band's farewell concert in San Francisco on November 25, 1976, featuring guests such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Van Morrison. In Denmark the name has also come to describe a tribute concert in which a Danish orchestra and a group of soloists recreate the music of that night. The show first sold out at the Royal Danish Theatre in 2016 and returns for a nationwide tour in 2026 to mark the 50th anniversary of the original concert.
