Johnny Cash - The Legacy Continues
The Tennessee Four from Nashville performs Johnny Cash's greatest hits with his grandson Thomas Gabriel on vocals. A band of seasoned musicians with deep roots in the Cash legacy.
Thomas Gabriel is an American singer-songwriter and the eldest grandchild of Johnny Cash, born to Cash's daughter Kathy. He grew up travelling with his grandfather and inherited the deep baritone that now defines his work as lead vocalist of The Tennessee Four - a band built around former members of Cash's original backing group. Alongside the tribute shows, Gabriel has released original music drawn from his own experiences with addiction and incarceration.
Thomas Gabriel performed as the headliner at Rockin' the Mon Riverfest in Monongahela, Pennsylvania.
A viral TikTok performance of 'Folsom Prison Blues' brought widespread attention to Gabriel's vocal similarity to his grandfather.
The Tennessee Four received honorable recognition from the South Carolina Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame at a concert in Greenville.
Thomas Gabriel made his Grand Ole Opry debut on September 12, 2023 as lead singer for The Tennessee Four at a tribute concert honoring Johnny Cash's 20th anniversary.
Gabriel released the EP 'Treehouse Sessions - The Raw and Uncut Acoustic Project', recorded in one afternoon in a studio in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
