Tophouse is an American indie-folk quartet from Missoula, Montana, now based in Nashville, Tennessee. The four-piece - Joseph Larson (vocals, guitar), Jesse Davis (guitar, mandolin), William Cook (violin) and Andy LaFave (piano) - built their following from street busking to a national touring circuit, driven by DIY booking and live performance videos that went viral in 2022. Their catalogue spans two albums and five EPs, capped by the paired releases Theory (2024) and Practice (2025).
Tophouse released the EP Practice on February 14, 2025 - a six-song collection that forms a counterpart to Theory from May 2024.
Montana Public Radio focused on the band's journey from street musicians in Missoula to a nationally touring americana group in a Musicians Spotlight interview.
According to Montana Right Now, Tophouse had 1.2 million listeners on Spotify alone in one year, 13.6 million streams, and was heard in nearly 180 countries.
The band announced a nationwide USA tour starting from the end of February 2026 as well as upcoming European dates, including Dublin and London in November.
Chartmetric recorded a significant increase in the band's YouTube views in June 2026, with 44,902 new views in one day - an increase of 272.7% above normal.
