About

Tradish is an Aarhus-based trio playing traditional Irish music with their own compositions and a personal twist, active since 2009. The band consists of Louise Ring Vangsgaard (fiddle/viola/vocals), John Pilkington (guitar/bouzouki/vocals) and Brian Woetmann (bodhrán/percussion/vocals). They have performed across Europe and Greenland, and were selected to represent Denmark in the music export project "Danish Roots - Growing in the World". Their most recent album, "Handmade tales" (2019), features 15 tracks played on handcrafted acoustic instruments.

    Tradish celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2025 with performances at, among others, Skagen Festival and a series of concerts throughout Denmark.

    The band performed at Aarhus Festuge 2025 in the Irish Tent.

    Tradish played a jubilee concert with a St. Patrick's Day theme at RIGA in Hvidovre - sold out.

    Third album "Handmade tales" was released on Go' Danish Folk Music with 15 tracks recorded in Tangled Roots Studio in Åbyhøj.
