Train
American rock band Train performs live at HeadQuarters in Aarhus.
Train are an American pop-rock band from San Francisco, founded in 1993 by frontman Pat Monahan. They broke through with the album Drops of Jupiter (2001) and reached even wider audiences with 'Hey, Soul Sister' (2009) - both tracks have since surpassed one billion Spotify streams. Three Grammy Awards, more than 10 million albums sold, and 14 Billboard Hot 100 entries cement their place as one of American mainstream rock's most durable acts.
Train released the single 'The Weekend' with a guitar solo from the band's newest member Butch Walker as a prelude to the anniversary tour.
Train announced the 'Drops of Jupiter: 25 Years in the Atmosphere' tour for summer 2026 with Barenaked Ladies and Matt Nathanson as guests.
'Drops of Jupiter' received RIAA Diamond certification (10 million units sold) - the band's second Diamond single after 'Hey, Soul Sister'.
Songwriter and producer Butch Walker was officially announced as a new permanent member of Train.
Pat Monahan confirmed that a musical based on the film Begin Again (2013) with music and lyrics by Monahan will open at The Old Globe in San Diego in September 2026 as a pre-Broadway production.
