Tyla (born Tyla Seethal) is a South African singer-songwriter from Johannesburg who broke through globally with her 2023 single "Water", a track that brought amapiano to mainstream pop audiences and won her the inaugural Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance. She has since won a second Grammy for "Push 2 Start" and became the first African solo artist to surpass one billion streams on Spotify. Her second studio album "A*Pop" was released in July 2026.

The single "CHANEL" was released on October 24, 2025 and quickly went viral on TikTok with over 2.6 million videos.
The EP "WWP" (We Wanna Party) was released on July 25, 2025 with amapiano as the focal point and served as a bridge to the upcoming album.
