Uffe Markussen (born 19 September 1952 in Frederikshavn) is a Danish jazz tenor saxophonist and bass clarinettist, trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. He spent 22 years as a member of the DR Big Band (1990-2012) and has performed alongside Marilyn Mazur, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen and drummer Billy Hart, among others. Now based in North Jutland, he plays a central role in the Aalborg jazz scene as a teacher, conductor and soloist with Nordkraft Big Band.
