About

War on Women are an American hardcore punk band from Baltimore, Maryland, active since 2010. Led by vocalist Shawna Potter, they combine abrasive guitar work with feminist and political lyrics addressing abortion rights, misogyny and intersectional politics. After four albums on Bridge Nine Records, they signed to Smartpunk Records in 2025 and released their fifth album, 'Time Under Tension', in May 2026. They are known for intense live shows and have toured the US, UK and Western Europe.
