Westlife are an Irish pop group from Sligo, formed in 1998 by Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne. Known for polished ballads and close harmonies, they racked up 14 UK number-one singles - a tally surpassed only by Elvis Presley and The Beatles. They also hold the record as the only act in British and Irish history to have their first seven singles all debut at number one.
