About
Yawning Portal is a South London duo - Jess Mai Walker and Joseph Ware, performing as Angel Steele and Petulance - who build euphoric ambient soundscapes from synth textures, vocal samples, and field recordings, sitting at the crossroads of hyperpop and deconstructed club music. They debuted in 2020 with the EP 'Heart & Earth' on Vegyn's PLZ Make It Ruins label, and released their debut full-length 'Anywhere' via YEAR0001 in November 2025. They also host the NTS radio show 'Under Sleepy Moon'.
