Bandholm Badehotel on the north coast of Lolland traces its origins to 1692, when it operated as a royal privileged inn. In 1886 the Count of Knuthenborg Estate elevated it to a hotel, and a thorough renovation in 2022 - when it also took its current name - brought the buildings back to their best. The 42 rooms are spread across several historic structures, including De Royale Stalde and Det Gamle Glaspusteri. Restaurant Alba focuses on seasonal, locally sourced cooking, and Denmark's oldest bathing establishment sits just nearby on the Småland Sea.
