Beder-Malling Bibliotek occupies a former warden's residence and has served the local community since 1925. It functions as a combined library for schoolchildren, families and adults, with a distinctly green profile - the collection places particular emphasis on ecology, gardening and nature conservation. The children's section has room for play and read-alouds, while adults can use computers or settle into an armchair with the newspaper. The library covers Beder, Malling and Ajstrup - around 8,000 residents in all - as part of Aarhus Bibliotekerne.
