About the venue

Bispetorvet is a cobbled square of around 3,000 m² just south of Aarhus Cathedral and west of Aarhus Theatre. It takes its name from the old bishop's residence that stood here until 1881, and took its current shape in 1921. An equestrian statue of King Christian X marks the centre. The square hosts markets, exhibitions, a winter skating rink, and has long served as a hub for the Aarhus Festival.
