Concert in Egen Kirke
The vocal ensemble Cappella Clara performs Nordic classical works and songs from their new EP, conducted by Anne Agerskov.
Egen Kirke is a Romanesque village church dating from the 12th century, originally dedicated to St. Martin and later extended with a ducal burial chapel, now used as a sacristy. Its interior features a Catholic winged altarpiece from 1515 with a radiant Madonna, a Romanesque font in Gotland sandstone, and a Renaissance pulpit from 1600. With 700 seats, it ranks as Denmark's second-largest village church, after Vestervig Kirke in Thy.
