About the venue

Høng Station was built in 1898 as part of the Slagelse-Værslev railway line, designed by architect Heinrich Wenck, who was responsible for many Danish station buildings of the era. In 1901 it became the terminus of the Høng-Tølløse railway, making it a local rail junction. Passenger services to Værslev ended in 1971, and freight traffic to Gørlev ran until 1994. Today Vestsjællands Veterantog is based here and operates on the Gørlev line.
