About the venue
Karen Blixen Museum is housed at Rungstedlund, the manor north of Copenhagen where the author was born in 1885 and died in 1962. Visitors can see her study, personal belongings and garden, all closely tied to the life behind works such as "Out of Africa". The surrounding park is a protected bird sanctuary - a condition Blixen herself insisted on.
