Nærum Bibliotek occupies a former country estate built in 1920 by architect Frederik Christensen for coal merchant Ferdinand Christensen, as part of the Nærum Avlsgård - Fruerlund estate. The building became a library less than two decades after it was built, and today it also houses the local historical archive and the administration of Rudersdal Museer. The library is part of Rudersdal Bibliotekerne and is about a 10-minute walk from Nærum Station.
