Ribe Kunstmuseum is the oldest art museum in Denmark outside Copenhagen, founded in 1891. Its collection spans Danish art from around 1750 to the present, with a strong focus on Golden Age painting and late 19th-century works. The museum occupies a neoclassical building near the Ribe river and hosts a regular programme of temporary exhibitions.
