About the venue

Skamlingsbanken is a historic open-air meeting ground in Southern Jutland, used since the 1840s for large public gatherings and national commemorations. The hill is closely tied to the Danish national movement and the struggle to preserve the Danish language south of the Kongeå river. Today it is run by Museum Kolding and hosts events, lectures and memorial celebrations.
