About the venue

Tangkrogen - the name means "the kelp nook", after the seaweed that filled the cove when the area was laid out as a park in the early 20th century - is Aarhus Municipality's main outdoor event venue. The park sits south of the Port of Aarhus along the bay, covering around 40,000 m² with room for up to 20,000 guests. Aarhus Kræmmermarked has been held here for over 30 years, the Food Festival draws thousands of visitors, and the open grounds also host concerts and travelling circuses.
