About the venue

Willumsens Museum in Frederikssund is dedicated to the Danish artist J.F. Willumsen (1863-1958), a key figure in Symbolism and Expressionism. The collection spans his paintings, sculptures and prints, alongside the personal art collection he assembled during his lifetime. The building was purpose-built and opened in 1957.
