Sam Ghezzi - singer, tenor saxophonist and harmonica player - leads this blues band under his own name, with musicians drawn from Amsterdam and Copenhagen: Fabian Vang-Lauridsen on guitar, Cesar Puente on double bass and Joe Korach on drums.

The band works across two closely related blues traditions: Chicago blues, the electric style heard at social gatherings and on the streets of Chicago in the 1950s, and jump blues, a swinging, energetic form rooted in 1940s jazz. The set is built around rhythmic drive, improvisation and danceable grooves.
