Plattenbau is a Berlin-based band formed by four international musicians with roots in punk, arthouse film, and experimental sound. They move across the intersection of noise rock, new wave, krautrock, and techno - a sound shaped equally by club culture and guitar music.

The sonic palette is angular and melodic at once: erotic synth textures from a classic Korg M1 meet noisy guitars, tight drums, and driving bass, while the vocals draw threads from the soundtrack of a German art film from the early 1990s. The band has released on Oliver Ackermann's Dedstrange label and played Fusion Festival, Waves Vienna, and SXSW. Their latest album Net Prophet explores modern alienation, pop aesthetics, and dark soundscapes.

About the venue: Råhuset

Råhuset is a small music venue on Onkel Dannys Plads in the Vesterbro district, housed in the former veterinary inspection building in the Brune Kødby - which is also where the name comes from. Since 2006 it has hosted more than 150 concerts a year, with a focus on alternative music from Denmark and abroad, and it has built a reputation for championing emerging artists and niche genres.
