About

Plattenbau is an international Berlin-based band founded in 2011 by Welsh frontman Lewis Lloyd in a basement beneath the former Stasi headquarters in East Berlin. The current lineup - Lloyd (vocals/synth), Sally Brown (bass/vocals), Brandon Walsh (drums) and Jesper Munk (guitar/synth) - fuses post-punk, darkwave and noise-pop into what they call 'post-ideological surrealism'. Four studio albums on Oliver Ackermann's (A Place to Bury Strangers) label Dedstrange, with festival appearances at Fusion Festival and SXSW.
