Gennem Tågen, NVLVS and Helskov

An evening with three Aarhus-based black metal bands: Gennem Tågen, NVLVS and Helskov.

Gjennem Tågen plays black metal rooted in the Nordic 90s wave - icy riffs, acoustic guitar and Danish lyrics. The band kept a low profile for many years with only a 2019 demo, but recorded two albums in 2022: Koldt betragtes verden (released Nov. 2023) and Sindets mørke (released Oct. 2024). With their debut release, they took the step to become a full live band and have since performed in Denmark, Germany and Norway. NVLVS was founded in 1997 and works in the underground-oriented end of black/death metal with Lovecraft and Cthulhu-inspired themes. The band has never been signed to a record label and has released the demo Chaos (2007) and performed at Mono Goes Metal in 2020. Helskov was formed in 2019 by Eleven and Frygt and has released four demos since 2020, exploring different expressions of black metal. The band consists of Eleven (vocals), Frygt (guitar, backing vocals), Livræd (guitar), Skurk (bass) and Deva (drums), and is now finishing songs for their first full-length album.
