Guitarmasters Double Concert: Nicola Montella & Laurent Boutros

A double guitar concert featuring Nicola Montella (Italy) and Laurent Boutros (France) at Aalborg Klosterkirke, Klosterjordet 1, 9000 Aalborg.

Tickets cost 100 kr. in advance (+ fee) and 150 kr. at the door. Students and young people under 18 have free admission thanks to sponsorship from Budolfi Kirke.

Nicola Montella is a professor of classical guitar at the conservatory "D. Cimarosa" in Avellino and has performed at festivals across Europe, Asia, and China, collaborating with the London Symphony Orchestra among others. His recordings have been released on Brilliant Classics and Camerà Musique, and his album Sonata has been broadcast on RAI Radio 3, Radio Vaticana, and Radio Popolare. In 2015 he received the La Chitarra d'Oro award as the year's most promising young international guitarist.

Laurent Boutros is a French guitarist and composer with a particular interest in musical traditions from the Mediterranean, Armenia, and the Caucasus. He has drawn inspiration from flamenco, Brazilian, and Argentine music and has collaborated with musicians from jazz, Iranian, and Indian traditions. Since 2003 he has led his own trio and is also artistic director of the guitar festival Nuits Musicales de Cieux in France.
