Guitarmasters Double Concert: Flavius Wagner & Duo Brillanti Cordi

Guitarmasters Double Concert features two acts: Flavius Wagner from Germany and Duo Brillanti Cordi from the Czech Republic. The concert takes place at Sankt Markus Kirke, Teglværks Alle 17, 9000 Aalborg.

Tickets cost 100 kr. in advance (+ fee) and 150 kr. at the door. Students and young people under 18 have free admission, thanks to sponsorship from Sankt Markus Kirke.

Flavius Wagner won 1st prize at the 7th Aalborg Guitar Festival & Competitions 2025. Born and raised in Baden-Baden, he began playing guitar at an early age. At 14, he was admitted as a junior student at HMDK Stuttgart in Professor Johannes Monno's class, where he has studied for a bachelor's degree in music since 2022. He has won prizes at renowned guitar competitions in Bosnia, Chicago, Florida, and New York, and concert tours have taken him to Venice and Canada. Wagner teaches on behalf of Baden-Württemberg's state music council and at the state's youth choir, and is also active in several chamber music ensembles.

Duo Brillanti Cordi consists of Vladislav Bláha and Tania Blaha-Drobysh. Bláha is a professor of guitar at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno and at the Conservatory in Brno, president of the Czech Classical Guitar Society, and director of the international guitar festival and guitar courses in Brno. The British magazine Music Opinion has described him as one of the Czech Republic's leading guitarists. He was the first Czech guitarist to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York and Royal Festival Hall in London, and has performed in around 50 countries. Over 30 composers from 17 countries have dedicated works to him - including Leo Brouwer, Jorge Morel, John W. Duarte, Máximo Diego Pujol, Francis Kleynjans, Carlos Cardoso, and Nikita Koshkin. He has released 13 CDs and participated in radio and television productions in several countries. Tania Blaha-Drobysh plays mandolin, domra, and guitar. She was born in Prague, raised and educated in Belarus - at Minsk Central Music School M. Glinka and later at the National Academy.
