Talentklassen is a course for young guitarists aged 13-20 who have played for several years and are interested in or applying to the talent programme at MGK or higher music education. Instructor: Frederik Munk Larsen. The course includes ensemble playing, technique exercises, and solo lessons. A ticket also grants access to all festival concerts, exhibitions, and workshops. Accommodation and meals during the course are included in the price - bring a sleeping bag and mat.

8:00-8:45 Breakfast or arrival. 9:00-10:30 Ensemble playing. 10:40-11:00 Masterclass visits. 11:10-12:00 Solo lessons. 12:00-12:30 Lunch. 12:30-14:45 Solo lessons. 15:00-17:00 Guitar Demo Concert and Final Concert - Category II, 8th Aalborg International Guitar Competition 2026. 17:45 Festive dinner. 20:00 Final Concert Category I, 8th Aalborg International Guitar Competition, with prize presentations in Category I, Category II, and the composer competition 2026.

Meals included in the price:
Saturday 21 November: breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus cake with coffee. Sunday 22 November: breakfast and lunch plus cake with coffee. Bring a packed lunch for 21 November if desired. Beverages can be purchased at Skipper Clement School.

About: Frederik Munk Larsen

Frederik Munk Larsen is a Danish classical guitarist who trained at conservatories in Aarhus, Köln and Barcelona. He made his solo debut in 2001 and now works as a lecturer and principal guitar teacher at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus.

About: Anders Clemens Øien

Norwegian guitarist Anders Clemens Øien made history in 2003 as the first Scandinavian winner of the Andrés Segovia Competition in Granada. With six albums to his name and a steady presence at festivals from Bergen to Seoul, he ranks among Scandinavia's most seasoned classical guitarists.
