Yoni Mayraz (UK)

On 27 November, London-based keyboardist and producer Yoni Mayraz performs at KLEIN. His music draws on jazz, hip-hop, electronic soundscapes and Middle Eastern timbres - and live, the compositions evolve into improvised conversations between the musicians.

His latest album Dogs Bark Babies Cry was recorded live over three days at Konk Studios in North London with bassist Tom Driessler and drummer Zoe Pascal, plus a number of guests. The music is inspired by 1970s jazz-funk, 1990s hip-hop and today's experimental jazz scene, balancing tight grooves with improvisation and raw energy.

Following his breakthrough with Dybbuk Tse!, Mayraz has performed at Montreux Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott's, The Jazz Cafe and Brussels Jazz Festival.
