Subterranean Street Society (NL/DK)

Subterranean Street Society is a Danish-Dutch band based in Amsterdam. Their sound moves between grunge and folk music - fuzz-heavy guitars, hard dynamic shifts and poetic lyrics.

The concert marks the release of the band's new album, written in the wake of songwriter Louis Puggaard Müller's loss of a close friend and several family members. The songs circle around grief, mortality and meaning - the traces people leave behind. Musically, the band has returned to a more direct expression, and the songs stand sharper than before.
