Brazilian singer Aline Paes performs Thursday, 3 September 2026 at 19:30 in Åbyhøj Kirke on Silkeborgvej. This is her only Danish concert date. Paes sings with pianist Carsten Kær in the church, built in 1945 as the Åbyhøj district grew. The church serves as a wayside chapel and welcomes visitors year-round. Admission is 25 kroner.

About the venue: Åbyhøj Kirke

Åbyhøj Kirke on Silkeborgvej is a Church of Denmark parish church, built in 1945 as the Åbyhøj neighbourhood expanded. It holds official status as a road church and is open to visitors throughout the year. Alongside regular Sunday services, the church hosts monthly baptism services, spaghetti services and activities for confirmands, and has a crypt families with young children can use during services.

A North Jutland jazz pianist with deep roots in Cuban and Brazilian music, studied first-hand on location. Kær is a restless improviser who moves freely between solo piano, world music and close-knit trio playing.
