Brazilian singer Aline Paes from Rio de Janeiro performs with pianist Carsten Kær at Åbyhøj Church.
Carsten Kær is a Danish jazz pianist and composer who graduated from the Jutland Music Conservatory in Aarhus in 1998. He has travelled and studied extensively in Cuba and Brazil, performing alongside leading musicians from both countries, and his music weaves Latin American rhythms together with Nordic lyricism and free improvisation. He leads several ensembles - among them Carsten Kær Trio, STREJF and Shadow Government - and in 2021 received the Årets Nordjyske Jazznavn award at Tversted Jazzy Days.
