School: The Mythics (Class Set 1)

On Friday, February 5, 10:30-12:00, Finnish author and illustrator Miila Westin visits the Stillehavet room at Svendborg Library. She talks about the comic series The Mythics - the process behind it and what has inspired her - and concludes the visit with drawing exercises, where all students receive drawing boards and paper. The event is held in English with simultaneous translation.

The offer is reserved for grades 4-5 at public schools as well as free and private schools in Svendborg Municipality, with a maximum of 28 students per class.

When the class registers, it commits to reading the first volume of the comic series in Danish before the visit. Registration covers both the workshop day and a set loan period of 4 weeks with a class set - the period cannot be adjusted. The library arranges delivery and pickup of the sets, but the school is responsible for any missing copies. Before the event, the class must also have prepared at least two questions for Miila Westin.

NOTE: A class can only register for one of the two offers - either this school programme (The Mythics, Class Set 1) or Meet The Mythics - not both.
