PUNK SONGS ABOUT THE WORLD, LIFE AND FURNITURE

Morten Skou Andersen writes songs about everything from rewilding and furniture to menstruation - and consistently finds a provocative, boundary-crossing angle, regardless of the subject. A particular strength of his is singing from perspectives that are not his own, even when shared by very few. Did he really sing that?

The band has seven albums behind them, all with fine reviews. The latest, "Moderne desperation" or "Det bliver jo blandet nede i maven alligevel", was named one of the ten best of the year by Swedish magazine Facklor och Högafflar - and marks a new, lo-fi direction. The track "Dræbersneglen kommer" has been called a masterpiece by Arbejderen, and the single "Brev til Anders Breivik" attracted attention, including in P1's Kulturnyt. The band has played with, among others, Annika Aakjær, Elevatorfører and Dans & Lær.

Reviewers write:
"Nineteen raw punk songs with frenzied wordflow, screaming electric organs and tart contemporary satire" (Facklor och Högafflar).
"One of those records you're just glad exists on the market and in the world. Four big ones from here." (Espen Strunk, Gaffa.)
"That's how modern social criticism should sound. You laugh and feel uneasy. And the music cuts through." (Jens Blendstrup, Undertoner.)
"Refreshingly skewed and delightfully different!" (Rootszone).
"Just what we need in these tight and strained times for humanity. Warmly recommended." (Capac.)
