Description was written before the event

Physicist Troels Harmark guides the audience through the history of physics - from ancient natural philosophers to relativity theory, quantum physics, and questions about the origin of the universe.

The lecture is based on his acclaimed book "On the Trail of Time's Riddle".

About the venue: Kulturhuset Elværket

Kulturhuset Elværket occupies Frederikssund's former municipal power station, built in 1914 and converted into a cultural centre in 1994 by the architectural firm Mangor & Nagel. It is run by Elværksforeningen, a private user association of around 130 member groups. The building holds a main hall for up to 250 people, a café with rotating art exhibitions, and two smaller meeting rooms. Music, theatre, lectures and courses fill the programme - typically more than 1,000 events a year.
