Library Book Club - Witches, Völvas & Folklore

The book club Witches, Völvas & Folklore brings together readers interested in witches, völvas, and folklore in literature. Over five meetings, the club reads four works of fiction that explore the witch in different forms - from fact and folklore to fantasy.

You don't need to have read anything before the first meeting. At the opening session, participants get to know each other, discuss the theme, and receive the first book plus inspiring materials. At each subsequent meeting, you take the next book home - the library orders them, so you don't have to source them yourself.

The club is facilitated by the library's literature coordinator Ea, and refreshments and snacks are served at all five meetings. As a participant, you also receive one admission ticket to a Library Club Café event featuring one of the authors the club reads during the series.

Meetings take place on Tuesdays 17:30-19:00 in the Hall at Gørlev Library: 29 Sept 26, 3 Nov 26, 1 Dec 26, 5 Jan 27, and 2 Feb 27. The price is 75 kr. (regular) or 50 kr. for Library Club members - paid once at registration and covers the entire series, the Library Club Café ticket, and refreshments at all five meetings. Tickets are non-refundable after purchase unless the organizer cancels.
