Church Concert with Karsten Skovgaard Trio

Karsten Skovgaard was Kim Larsen's guitarist and bandleader for 25 years. During quiet hours on the road - while Kim slept - he wrote his own melodies. Now he performs them live with anecdotes and stories from those years on tour.

The trio consists of Karsten Skovgaard, bassist Jesper Findshøj and guitarist Kevin Monie. The concert's title came about when Kevin one evening at Carlsens Kvarter heard one of Skovgaard's melodies and asked: "Is that what you wrote while Kim was sleeping?"

The programme features new arrangements of Kim Larsen classics such as "Joanna" and "Pianomand" alongside Skovgaard's own pieces from the breaks on the road.
