The Danish Witch Trials - lecture: Thursday 22 October 2026, 19:00–21:00, Esbjerg Byhistoriske Arkiv, Torvegade 47, Esbjerg. Tickets cost 95 kr.

We think we know the witch - from popular culture and feminist discourse. But who were the people actually accused of witchcraft in the 16th and 17th centuries, and what happened to them? This lecture examines the question more closely, drawing on examples from Southwest Jutland.
