Library Book Club - Book Club for You on Parental Leave
Kalundborg Bibliotek og Borgerservice, Kalundborg
Are you on parental leave and want to combine reading with adult conversation? The book club at Kalundborg Library is aimed at parents with babies - children are welcome, and blankets, toys and a changing table are ready in the room.
The club meets four mornings in autumn - 10/9, 8/10, 5/11 and 3/12, 9:30-11 - in the Blue Room behind the children's library. The first meeting is based on Stine Pilgaard's "Meter i sekundet", which participants should have read in advance. At the following meetings, the group chooses texts themselves: short novels, short stories or poems. There is no requirement to have read everything - or to have any special background knowledge at all.
Cultural facilitators Malene and Hanne-Mette, who are both parents of young children themselves, lead the meetings. Drinks and snacks are included. The season price is 50 kr., or 35 kr. for members of the Library Club. Upon registration, the library reserves "Meter i sekundet" for you. Free membership of the Library Club and further information can be found at www.kalundborgbib.dk/klub - registration is required.
