Library Club Café Evening - Anna Gudmann Hansen: The World's Best News

When the TV news comes on or a newspaper is opened, wars, poverty, natural disasters and terrorist attacks dominate. These are important stories - but research shows that a one-sided focus on what goes wrong makes us believe the world is in far worse condition than it actually is.

The World's Best News works with constructive journalism about progress and solutions to the planet's greatest challenges to paint a more nuanced picture. Tonight's speaker is Anna Gudmann Hansen, a journalist trained at Denmark's Media and Journalism School with an international degree specializing in war and conflict. She has worked at The World's Best News for just over three years, covering stories about progress around the world - most recently on ocean protection, malaria vaccines and a decline in terrorist attacks.
