In early 2026, Artemis II was launched as the first crewed mission to orbit the Moon in over 50 years. The mission did not land, but marked a turning point in the global race for a permanent presence on the Moon.

Astrophysicist Christina Toldbo walks through the mission step by step and examines the technological and human challenges of colonizing the Moon - and eventually Mars. The lecture also puts recent changes in space exploration into perspective.
