Library Club Café Evening: Food and Debate - Fact or Fiction? Staging Reality
Kalundborg Bibliotek og Borgerservice, Kalundborg · 75–95 kr. · ≈ 10–13 €
The year's final café evening explores the story of Adrian Hughes' mother Jette's farewell letter and the artistic interpretations it has inspired - including Adrian Hughes' podcast series from 2021, a film adaptation, and the book "Mors dreng - Erindringer om familien Dreyers magt og millioner" from 2022.
Cultural mediator Hanne-Mette and librarian Aksel begin with a brief presentation on the different artistic forms. We then watch the documentary together - with the help of actors, we are taken back to the brothers' childhood and youth and the experiences that have shaped their lives. The evening concludes with a shared conversation and debate about the themes of the narrative.
The café evening runs from 18:00 to 20:45. Regular price is 95 kr.; members of the Library Club pay 75 kr. The ticket includes refreshments: food, beverages, coffee/tea and dessert. All other content is free.
