We live with war in Europe, a USA turning inward, and a world order in upheaval. The relationship between the USA and Europe increasingly resembles a purely practical partnership, while Europe's technological lag challenges our future position. Drawing on Denmark's two most important allies, the USA and Germany, Mirco Reimer-Elster contextualizes these developments and points to both risks and opportunities in the new geopolitical reality.

Mirco Reimer-Elster is a USA and Germany analyst at TV 2, co-host of the podcast "Only in America" and Radio IIII, and columnist for Jyllands-Posten. He holds a Ph.D. in history from the European University Institute in Florence and is a former Henry A. Kissinger Fellow and Fulbright Scholar at Yale University. His undergraduate degree is a cand.mag. in American Studies from the University of Southern Denmark.
