Historical Book Club - Library Book Clubs — Kalundborg Bibliotek og Borgerservice, Kalundborg

The historical book club reads novels from other times and places. Meetings focus on the historical periods of the books and how authors bring the past to life through characters and action - no prior historical knowledge is needed.

The programme includes "Where the Wind Turns" by Jesper Bugge Kold and "The Man Who Carried the Sun" by Kristian Bang Foss. The library arranges for the books to be ordered for you, and at each meeting you receive book reviews and reading tips. As a member of the book club, you also get a free ticket to one of the library's Book Club Cafés with author visits.

The book club is led by Lone and Stine from the library, and coffee, tea and light refreshments are served. For the first meeting, you don't need to have read anything - the genre is introduced and you receive the first novels and other materials.

The club meets five Tuesdays from 18:30-20:30 in the Green Room at Kalundborg Library: 29 Sept., 27 Oct., 24 Nov., 26 Jan. and 23 Feb.

Price: 75 kr. (regular price) / 50 kr. for members of the Book Club. Read more and join the Book Club for free at www.kalundborgbib.dk/klub
