ON THE FERRY
All departures to Bågø: Treasure hunt for children begins - pick up a folder at the stairs.
At 8:30 to Bågø and 17:45 to Assens, nature guide Christine Røllike Ditlefsen tells about what we see on the ferry journey.
At 10:30 to Bågø and 15:00 to Assens, Jannik Seslef from Assens Municipality talks about a new major nature project on Bågø.
At 12:00 to Bågø and 13:00 to Assens, Ingrid Vatne from Museum Vestfyn tells about Bågø and the 50-year history of the Bågø ferry.
AT THE HARBOUR
At 9:15, 11:15 and 12:45: Ride the Pig Wagon (25 seats per trip) around the island and hear about Bågø's history along the way. The trip takes about 45 minutes and ends at the nature centre.
At 9:15-16:30: Life in the shallow water - Biologists from Assens Municipality tell about the abundance of life found close to the coast. We put on waders and search for seahorses, starfish, plaice, shore crabs, pipefish, sea lice and more.
AT BÅGØ NATURE CENTRE
At 10:00-16:30: Open House at the Nature Centre - see and experience the centre's exhibition and facilities. You can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, make stick bread or pancakes over a fire, or eat your packed lunch.
AT THE BIRD TOWER IN VESTERMOSEN
At 9:30-16:30: At the bird tower you can borrow binoculars and watch the exciting bird life in Vestermosen.
NB. The event costs 20 kr. per person (ferry ticket), and due to limited capacity on the ferry, you must book your tickets in advance.
