Permaculture

Skovvirke is a cluster of six farms developing cultivation systems with great diversity and a focus on carbon storage.

We will hear about the journey the permaculture farms have been on. How is the collaboration working, what are their experiences with choosing trees and shrubs, which systems do the farms operate under, how is wastewater and other waste handled, and much more.
Signe and Lars will show the house, and Mira and Esben will tell about their forest farm.

We will see, among other things:
Madskov with perennial vegetables, fruit trees, berries and nuts
Self-feeding chicken forest with trees and shrubs that produce feed.
Nut forest with selected varieties of sweet chestnut, walnuts and paw paw.
Windbreaks and ponds with great biodiversity.
