Late Summer Walk in Strødam Reserve - Waiting List — Strødamslaboratoriet, Hillerød

Strødam Reserve is owned by Jarlfonden and is normally closed to the public - both to protect wildlife and the research conducted there. On this tour, a limited number of participants gain access.

The reserve is located in the southwestern part of Grib Forest, just west of Gadevang, and features a varied landscape with meadows, lakes, marshes, and old deciduous forest - some of which has remained untouched as natural forest for over 175 years. The rich wildlife is due in part to the many cavities and dying trees, which would have been felled in normal forestry. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to learn about bird life, other animals, plants, fungi, and the research conducted in the reserve.

Meeting point is Strødamlaboratoriet, Gadevangsvej 109 B. There are few parking spaces at the laboratory, but parking is also available at the church and community center in Gadevang. The trails require good footwear and cannot be accessed with strollers or pushchairs. Dogs are not permitted due to wildlife protection.

Participant numbers are limited to 30, and it is first come, first served. Registration and cancellations should be sent to Michael Liesk by email.
